Citizens of Ukraine will be able to receive 10-year visas to visit the United States. Currently, the Ukrainian party expects only internal agreement between the U.S. State Department and Homeland Security.
Kyiv and Washington are completing negotiations on the introduction of 10-year U.S. visas to citizens of Ukraine. Currently, the United States are conducting appropriate internal procedures, said Ukraine’s ambassador to the U.S. Oleksandr Motsyk.
"We have been negotiating with the USA for two years. We agreed that the Ukrainian party had to fulfill certain conditions, and we fulfilled these conditions. The American party recognized that. Now we are waiting for the internal agreement between the U.S. State Department and Homeland Security. 10-year visa will actually mean visa-free regime" – noted Motsyk.
The United States Embassy in Ukraine on the 20th of September implemented the new system of appointment of visa interviews and document delivery. All services, including appointment and delivery of passports and other documents are available without extra charge for them.
Applicants no longer need to pay for a personal identification number (PIN-code) to schedule an appointment, and courier delivery is also provided free of charge.
The amount of the visa fee has remained unchanged (160 to 270 dollars for different visa categories).
