Ukrainians who were in the Czech Republic legally were allowed to stay there for quarantine

The corresponding message was posted on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague.

According to them, quarantine measures are currently in place in the country from March 13 to April 12. Restrictions were imposed on border crossing; bus, rail and air services have been canceled.

"The website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic contains information that foreigners who, at the time of the announcement of the state of emergency (March 12, 14:00), were in the Czech Republic LEGALLY (that is, their visa, residence permit, etc. was not expired), may stay in the Czech Republic until the end of the state of emergency and leave the country after its over," – the statement reads.

Regarding Poland, the Border Guard of the Republic has agreed not to impose sanctions on citizens of Ukraine whose term of stay is expiring, and they have no opportunity to go to Ukraine because of the restrictions on the border.

"But each case will be reviewed individually. If the last day of a person’s legal stay is March 15 or any following day, the Polish services promised not to impose administrative or punitive sanctions against citizens of Ukraine," – the embassy added.
