The service of "husband for an hour" is nothing new, but "wife for an hour", "grandfather for rent" or "friend for an hour" are something new in the arsenal of inventive Ukrainians. Similar offers in various modifications can be found on the ads site Slando.

Here what Mykolay from Kherson writes in his ad, offering "a grandfather for rent" service, "I will be glad to sit with your kids, while you escape from family problems.I have two degrees, I am a real grandfather, 54 years old, I have 5 grandchildren of my own! All play chess, checkers, and musical instruments! I am a cook, so I know what to give them! In general, I am large, round and kind… I will do anything for a child!".

"I can take your child to and from kindergarten, school, help them with homework." Those are services offered by a "grandma for an hour", Lyudmila from Dnipropetrovsk. And "granny for rent" Svitlana from Simferopol will look after a toddler for 20 UAH per hour.

Lyudmila from Kyiv is ready to become a "wife for an hour" . She writes: "I offer services of a wife for an hour. I do everything except sex." Zhanna from Mykolayiv for 60 UAH per hour is willing to be a "listener and conversation partner for rent". And Anna from Odesa can be a "friend for an hour". Her ad says: "If you’re tired of being alone, looking for a support, been dumped by a boyfriend, or just want to talk, then you have come to the right place."
