Ukrainians daily spend on bribes from 3 to 10 million hryvnias.
Mostly they pay for their children in schools, kindergartens and hospitals.
Such statistical data have been collected by community activists under the project titled – "I gave a bribe for my child." Over 8 months they were collecting statements of Ukrainian citizens on bribery.
Mostly Ukrainians illegally pay for childbirth or surgery, enrollment of a child in kindergarten or even just for a human attitude.
Specifically, the biggest alleged bribe amount was 8000 UAH for the enrollment in the first grade of the Kyiv Lyceum, and the lowest – 50 UAH per month "for a human attitude to the child" in a Kyiv kindergarten.
