Ukrainians believe that the election will help the country

Most people – 58% – believe that the election will improve the situation in Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the results of the joint poll by the DIF Foundation and Razumkov Centre.

21% believe that the election will not change anything, but only 4.5% think that the election can worsen the situation.

Most people believe that their participation in the election or refusal to participate will influence the future of Ukraine either certainly (20%), or to some extent (42%). 32% of the population do not see any impact.

The population of Ukraine in the majority believes that the presidential election will be fair either completely (9%) or with some violations that will not affect the overall result (45%).

However, over a third of the population either suspect that the results will be distorted (32%) or are sure that everything will be rigged (11%).

Ukrainians believe that the activities of international Western observers will be the most useful of all (49%).

37.5% of the population rely on Ukrainian observers from NGOs, 32% – on the Ukrainian observers from parties, 22% – on observers from CIS countries.

The vast majority of the population of Ukraine – 85% – believe that the sources of financing of candidates’ campaign funds should be open.

However, even if candidates open the campaign fund accounting and report on costs, only 11% of the population are willing to support them financially.
