Ukrainians began travelling to Slovakia more actively

During the first half of this year, the number of people that have crossed the Ukrainian-Slovak border has increased.  

The passenger traffic has increased only at two checkpoints. Thus, the number of people that have crossed the border at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod – Vysne Nemecke" has increased from 510,707 in the first half of 2014 to 518,450 in the first half of this year. At the checkpoint "Mali Selmentsi – Velke Selmenci", the passenger traffice has increased from 57,923 to 76,408.  In other checkpoints, a decrease in passenger traffic has been recorded.

Thus, at the checkpoint "Maly Berezny – Ubl’a" – from 261,461 to 252 840, at the checkpoint "Chop – Cierna nad Tisou" – from 16,704 to 14,751.

The number of vehicles that have crossed the Ukrainian-Slovak border during this period has dropped from 402,896 to 367,243.
