On October 1, the Protocol between the customs authorities of the SFS and the National Tax and Customs Administration of the Republic of Hungary on cooperation in the field of information exchange via e-mail on vehicles being transported through the Ukrainian-Hungarian state border entered into force. This was reported by the press service of the regional SFS.
The information from the checkpoint log will be used for the exchange. The advantage of the system is that ordinary e-mail with full security will be used.
The implementation of the system for information exchange between the customs authorities of Ukraine and Hungary was discussed by representatives of the SFS and Hungarian colleagues during the meeting held today at the checkpoint Chop – Zahony (Hungary). Both sides have already exchanged the first batches of data. The system of information exchange will allow to create risk profiles that will make it possible to compare information about goods and vehicles that have left Hungary and are entering Ukraine by such indicators as the quantity and nomenclature of goods.
According to representatives of the SFS, the system will provide an opportunity to accelerate the process of customs control at the checkpoints and to monitor the unscrupulous subjects of foreign economic activity.
The parties also discussed the possibility of introducing joint control at the checkpoints at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. In particular, they considered opening a joint crossing point "Nagyhodos – Velyka Palad" with temporary infrastructure on the Hungarian side.
