Ukraine’s international reserves have increased to $ 10 billion.

This is stated in the macroeconomic and monetary review of the NBU for March.

"The IMF loan in the amount of 4.9 billion dollars allowed to increase the international reserves to 10 billion dollars which allows to finance import over the next 2.1 months" – the document reads.

As previously reported, as of January 1, 2015, the volume of Ukraine’s international reserves amounted to 7.533 billion equivalent.

Recall that on March 11, the IMF approved a loan program for Ukraine using the EFF in total amount of 17.5 billion dollars for 4 years.

The new program will allow to open access to international funding of about $ 40 billion over the next 4 years. Ukraine received the first tranche under the new program in the amount of $ 5 billion on March 13.
