Ukraine resumed reverse gas supplies from Hungary on May 1,

On May 1, 2014 Ukraine resumed imports of natural gas through the territory of Hungary, which was discontinued in late December 2013.

This was reported by the "Ukrtransgas" PJSC, the "Interfax-Ukraine" informed.

"The Central Dispatching Office confirms the physical reverse supply of natural gas from Hungary," – the agency’s source said.

He said that import deliveries are carried out to the "Naftogaz of Ukraine".

According to available data of the Hungarian operator FGSZ Ltd, the order of May 1 is just 22,500 cubic meters of natural gas.

In August and September 2013, the maximum volume of daily imports through Hungary reached 9 million cubic meters.

It was reported that in November 2012, the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" began importing natural gas from Germany through Poland by agreement with the company RWE Supply & Trading GmbH.

In April 2013, the deliveries of natural gas from Hungary began. In addition, they are negotiating with gas transport operators of Slovakia and Romania on the possibility of natural gas supply to Ukraine’s GTS.
