Ukraine has suspended the import of gas through Hungary

Ukraine has suspended the import of gas through Hungary.

This is illustrated by the Hungarian gas transmission system operator FGSZ Ltd, the "Ukrainski Novyny" reported.

Also, according to the Slovak GTS operator Eustream, under the nomination for July 1, Ukraine reduced the import of gas through Slovakia by 34.6%, or 7.2 million cubic meters / day to 13.6 million cubic meters / day compared to late June.

According to the spokesman of the "Ukrtransgaz" Maxim Bilyavsky, as of July 1, the central control department of the national gas transportation system operator has not received nominations for import of natural gas from Hungary.

As is known, on June 25, Ukraine and Hungary started testing the gas Interconnector under the new agreement, which allows to carry out so-called virtual reverse supply and eliminate intermediary of the "Gazprom" starting July 1, 2015.

As reported, on May 29, operators of gas transport systems of Ukraine and Hungary signed an agreement on interconnector, which provides for the exchange of data on the work of cross-border gas pipelines that will help to exclude the Russian "Gazprom" from current relations between Ukraine and the EU.

The capacity of the interconnector in the direction of Hungary is 26 billion cubic meters a year, in the direction of Ukraine – 6.1 billion cubic meters per year.

Recall the "Naftogaz" suspends purchase of gas from the Russian company "Gazprom" as of July 1, 2015.
