Ukraine and Hungary will draw up a “road map” to solve the problem of pollution of the Carpathian rivers

After all, a large amount of garbage floats down the rivers from Transcarpathia to Hungary.
The head of the State Ecological Inspectorate Andriy Malyovany initiated a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Istvan Igyarto and the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov to develop a solution to the problem, the website of the State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine informed.
"Environmental issues are international: together with Hungary we will solve the problem of the pollution of Transcarpathian rivers. I have appealed to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Ukraine Istvan Igyarto regarding the problem of the pollution of Ukrainian rivers and the influx of large amounts of waste into Hungary. He suggested to hold a joint meeting with me and the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov to draw up a "road map" to resolve this issue," – Andriy Malyovany wrote.
The pollution of Ukrainian rivers leads to the influx of a large amount of garbage into the territory of Hungary, which Hungarians are unable to manage.
"Recently, the President of Hungary Janos Ader addressed the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a request to resolve the following situation. Thousands of cubic meters of garbage float from Ukraine to the rivers of Hungary every day. The Hungarians’ equipment can not cope with the management of so much waste. Since mid-June alone, 938 cubic meters of garbage has been removed from the Tisa River and 846 cubic meters from the Somesh River. Seasonal floods have further increased the level of pollution," – Andriy Malyovany said.
The head of the DEI believes that the situation with the pollution of rivers shows the problem that exists in Ukraine.
