The festival of winemakers "Ugocsa vine" took place in Vynogradiv for the 12th time. On May 7, the visitors were treated to delicious homemade wines not only from local winemakers but also from Hungary and Romania, so the event became international. Another zest was delicious eco-food: cheese, sausage and juice, which was presented by local producers in the eco-town.
Traditionally, the event began with a solemn procession in the city center to cheerful tunes. There was an interesting concert and nostalgic songs by People’s Artist of Ukraine Stepan Hiha on the main stage of the festival. For children, there were rides and a book town. At the end of the holiday, there was a fire show from the Dragonfly.
The presence of thousands of visitors from all over Ukraine and from abroad, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Lithuania and even the US, shows that the wine festival was a success.
On the eve of the event, there was also the "Wine Tour of Borzhava narrow gauge" and, traditionally, the wine tour finished with a visit to the old wine cellar of Ferenc II Rakoczy and a master class in cooperage, making of wooden barrels in the village of Shalanky.
In addition to a bottle of good intoxicating drink and souvenirs from local artisans, the festival guests could bring home colorful photos taken at the themed photo zone.
