The Transcarpathian city of Tyachiv celebrated the 688th anniversary of the first written mention of it. Local residents shared the festive atmosphere with guests from Kyiv, Transcarpathia and neighboring countries, the Uriadovy Kurier informs.
The main gift for the holiday was the new sports complex. The construction lasted for six years (with a two-year break due to lack of funds), but finally was completed.
The Arena "Tyachiv" is in the top three indoor facilities for physical education and sports in the region.
Leonid Buryak gave the mayor a book with autographs of all the players of the Dynamo (Kyiv), a cup, and also a jersey with his number 7. Then, a handball match of the women teams "Karpaty" from Uzhgorod and the city of Vac (Hungary) took place in the complex.
After that, there was a solemn opening of another important social facility – the Center for Provision of Administrative Services of the Tyachiv United Territorial Community. Ukrainian and Swedish experts took part in its development, it was equipped with the support of the U-LEAD Program.
The Center with 8 full-time experts will be providing 60 administrative services, including: the appointment of housing subsidies, registration and de-registration of the place of residence, registration of the property. Tyachiv united territorial community will be the first in Ukraine to issue passports in the form of ID-cards on the ground.
The Day of the City will also be remembered for the opening of the exhibition of Transcarpathian artists in the S. Holloshi gallery, the Hungarian national holiday of harvest "Syurety Ball", and the races organized by participants of the newly formed club of cycling fans.
