Two Transcarpathians lost their cars because of smuggling

The "green corridor" turned out to be unlucky for two Ukrainians who were illegally transporting tobacco products across the customs border.

Thus, in a car "AUDI 80" with Ukrainian registration, which arrived at the checkpoint at 13:28, customs officers found in a specially made cache in the fuel tank of the vehicle 390 packs of cigarettes "Rothmans Demi", "Rothmans Demi Click", "Next Dubliss" with excise stamps of Ukraine.

In a car "AUDI 80" also with Ukrainian registration, which arrived at the checkpoint at 13:53, customs officers found 330 packs of cigarettes "Rothmans Demi". The tobacco products were hidden in a specially made cache and found after dismantling of the fuel tank.    

Thus, the citizens committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

The reports on violation of customs rules were drawn up against the citizens, the cigarettes worth in total UAH 19,450, and the two cars "AUDI 80" with a total value of UAH 74,908, were seized.
