Two small hydropower plants are suggested to be built on the Latorytsya

The project of construction of small hydropower plants on the Latorytsya river was presented during Mukachevo Business Forum by the project team leader Valery Kroka. It is about the possibility of erecting two small hydropower plants. Their yearly power output will be 3.5 million kW-hours. The plants will also be a sort of flood protection structures. There will also be a possibility to accumulate water, and even to arrange recreation area at the reservoir. Those are channel-type plants. The plants will operate in automatic mode, without staff. According to the designer, they will reduce the hydrodynamics of the river during flood waves. At the same time, they will use the best European practices of arrangement of such plants – there will be an automatic machine to remove debris from the village.
