Two residents of Kyiv, who got lost in the Carpathians, have been found by rescuers

On December 24, at 17:40, tourists called the Rescue Service for help. They told the rescuers that while skiing they had got lost due to poor visibility.

Officers of the mountain search and rescue department of the village of Yasinya in Rakhiv district were sent to help them. At 19:30, the rescuers got to the probable location of the tourists – the Krachunyaska valley – and at 21:10 they found them.

They were a man born in 1986 and a woman born in 1988 birth, residents of the city of Kyiv. Fortunately, the skiers did not suffer frostbite or hypothermia, so they did not needed medical assistance. The rescuers escorted them to their temporary place of residence and warned them against skiing in poor visibility in the future.
