On May 9, at 15:17, the Rescue Service received a report of an accident on the highway "Kyiv-Chop", near the village of Hlyboke, Uzhgorod district. According to preliminary data, the driver of a "VW Passat B5" lost control of the vehicle and collided with a car "Mercedes Benz Sprinter".
As a result of the accident, the 31-year-old driver of the Volkswagen and a passenger of the Mercedes of the same age sufferred injuries of various degrees of severity. The victims were taken to Uzhgorod hospital.
Currently, the woman is in the intensive care unit with a diagnosis of polytrauma, closed head injury, concussion, dislocated left hip and blunt trauma of abdomen.
The passenger of the Mercedes was diagnosed with a closed head injury, concussion, contusion of the cervical and lumbar spine.
Detailed circumstances of the accident will be established by the police.
