Two attempts of cigarette smuggling were prevented at the border with Hungary (PHOTOS)

Two attempts of cigarette smuggling were prevented by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment yesterday on the border with Hungary. At the checkpoint "Luzhanka", a 34-year-old citizen of Ukraine tried to secretly smuggle cigarettes. The man arrived at the checkpoint by a car "Renault Traffic", the bottom of which was fitted with a special cache. During the in-depth inspection of the vehicle, border guards together with customs officers found in this cache 3520 packs of cigarettes of different brands. The preliminary value of the found smuggled goods is 100,190 hryvnia. The Ukrainian also lost his car.

Another Ukrainian citizen lost his car at the checkpoint "Dzvinkove". Because of 160 packs of cigarettes, which the 25-year-old man tried to hide in the fuel tank and underneath the paneling of the front doors, his car Audi A6 made in 2001 was seized from him.
