Today, August 15, the Executive Committee of Uzhgorod City Council approved a new procedure for removal and planting of greenery, and its value calculation.
In this context, the Mayor of Uzhgorod said that next year he plans a large-scale cutting of trees in the city, as the recent winds and storms showed that old plants should be substituted by new ones.
The approved document concerning the procedure of planting and removal of trees implies that planting of trees should be permitted only with approval of the Chief Architect of the city. A removal of green plants shold be done by the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission on the basis of order.
