"Pregnancy test", "Restless isomers", "Plastic surgery" – these are just some titles of the works from the exhibition "Transplantation", which was presented on November 3 in the Transcarpathian Art Museum in Uzhgorod by contemporary artist Gabriel Buletsa. On August 11, the artist turned 65! He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and a laureate of the Regional Y. Bokshay and A. Erdelyi Prize in the field of fine arts and crafts.
The exhibition was opened by the Deputy Head of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Ildiko Molnar, who said that she did not know the age of the artist, but the works looked very young. In turn, art historian, museum worker Lyudmila Biksei noted that Gabriel Buletsa is a biologist by education, but an artist by vocation. And that the main theme of the exhibition was the reflection on the life on the planet.
The artist himself says that "now, mankind has come to a new level of knowledge of reality. Vision armed with technical devices opens the unseen world." "Why is the exhibition called "Transplantation", and not, say, "scientific alchemy"? It is based on the narrow, "surgical" meaning of the word. It implies the transfer, implantation of mental ideas to the tree of a magnificent miracle – human consciousness", – Gabriel Buletsa explains.
