Transcarpathians will not be able to enter Slovakia without having been tested for COVID-19

Permission to enter the territory of Slovakia is granted only if Ukrainian citizens present a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 in Slovak, Czech, English or German (or translated into one of these languages).
The test must have been made within the past 96 hours.
Due to the state of emergency in the entire territory of the Slovak Republic related to COVID-19, Ukrainians may enter this country provided they have:
– temporary or permanent residence permit on the territory of Slovakia;
– certificate from the competent ministry.
Permission for transit through the territory of Slovakia is granted to:
– citizens of the European Union who return to their place of residence.
During border control, such citizens must present the border police a proof document (ID or passport), – the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs. Such citizens must travel through the territory of Slovakia and leave it within 8 hours from the moment of entry, taking into account the time required to refuel the car.
The following checkpoints are open under certain conditions:
– "Vysne Nemecke – Uzhgorod" – only for cars (passenger and freight) (pedestrian and bicycle traffic is prohibited); – "Ubl’a – Maly Berezny" – for all kinds of traffic (car, pedestrian and bicycle); – "Velke Selmence – Mali Selmentsi" – for all kinds of traffic from 08:00 to 20:00.
