Transcarpathians visiting Hungary might have to pay tolls on new freeways

In 2017, the number of toll highways in the country will increase, the myhungary.net informs. The Ministry of National Development of Hungary, by its decision of November 22, 2016, in §6 of Section 3 "Final Provisions", proposes to introduce fees for the use of recently commissioned highways M85 and M86.

While the proposal has not yet been discussed in the government, it will probably be approved.

M85 highway connects Gyor – Csorna – Szombathely and has four lanes. The length of the highway is about 80 km.

M86 highway connects the M1 motorway and M15 motorway, as well as M9, which will connect Szombathely with a high-speed highway. The length of the highway is 115 km.
