Transcarpathians participated in the meeting of the Commissioners of Governments of Ukraine and Hungary

The head of the Ukrainian part of the Working Group on Water Quality Protection, the First Deputy Head of the State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region Oleksandr Balega participated in the meeting, the State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region informs.

The parties informed about the state of implementation of the measures aimed at further development of the Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation in the field of water management in the border waters with an emphasis on the implementation of measures to increase the reliability of protection of the population and border areas against harmful effects of water, the state of the hydrological and meteorological situation, the control over the quality of water in transboder watercourses. Following the meeting, the Commissioners of the Governments of Ukraine and Hungary signed the minutes of the XXII meeting of the Commissioners of the Governments of Ukraine and Hungary on water management in the border waters.

Recall that, in accordance with Article 13 of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Hungary on issues of water management in the border waters, signed on November 11, 1997 in the city of Budapest, from 10 to 13 September 2018, the XXI Meeting of the Commissioners of the Governments of Ukraine and Hungary took place in the city of Siofok (Hungary).
