Transcarpathians helped border guards detain illegal immigrants

In the course of measures to fight illegal migration, border guards of the "Velyke Berezny" department detained another duo of "seekers of happiness."

The border guards received the information about two persons of Caucasian appearance in the border area from local residents around midnight, and half an hour later they were detained by task force. The men, who were heading to Slovakia, had no documents and explained that they were citizens of Georgia. They also told the "green berets" that they wanted to get to EU countries to find work and a better life. As it was found out later, the men had arrived to Ukraine in a legal way, and planned their route to Slovakia using the Google maps.

The offenders were taken to the border unit to ascertain the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative and procedural documents. Their further fate will be determined by the court.
