Transcarpathians have not surrendered weapons

Today, at about 8 o’clock in the morning, in Irshava, an inspector of traffic police department in Irshava district stopped a car "VAZ-21099". While talking with the driver, the traffic inspector felt strong smell of alcohol from the car. The driver said that he was sober, but he was carrying a passenger in the back seat, and the characteristic smell was coming from him. To check that, the police officer looked inside the car where he indeed saw the passenger, and on his knees, there was a torn package with a barrel of the weapons. The inspector asked the man to get out of the car, and called the investigative team.

As it turned out, a resident of Irshava district indeed was carrying a disassembled shotgun, as he explained – for sale.
Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing where the man got the weapon and how it was used.

Also, last night in Svalyava, district traffic police inspectors stopped a car "VAZ-2109". While the inspector was talking with the driver, a 23-year-old passenger opened the door of the car and threw a box with rifle cartridges to the side of the road. The cartridges were seized and sent to experts for investigation. The check is being conducted, the office of the traffic police in Transcarpathia reported.
