The village of Velyky Bychkiv, in Rakhiv district once again hosted a spectacular competition among the representatives of the ancient and traditional profession – carving. This year, the "Great Battle of Carvers" once again took place in Velyky Bychkiv Lyceum, where during the week craftsmen from Transcarpathia and visitors from other regions continued to expand the "Carving Alley" with their creative works. As a result, from July 30 to August 4, this tourist attraction of the district received 16 new unique sculptures, which perfectly complemented the last year’s collection.
This year, 19 masters came to Velyky Bychkiv. In the final competitions they competed in 2 categories: carving with a chisel (5 participants) and with a chainsaw (12 participants).
According to the decision of the experts, the Grand Prix for the best work went to A. Zalisky, Ivano-Frankivsk region, for the work "Angel"

Nomination The Most Complex Work – Vasyl Semko, Perehinsk;
The Most Original Work – Ivan Tytor, Rakhiv.

In the category of chainsaws 1st place Roman Datsko from Lviv with the work "Bull", 2nd place Vasyl Shemet from Uzhgorod with the work "Hutsul", and 3rd place Petro Skrypka from Perehinsky with the work "Bear".
In the category of chisels Vitaliy Kinch from Uzhgorod won the 1st place, Titor Ivan from Rakhiv won the 2nd place, and his fellow countryman Mykhailo Martyn won the 3rd place.
