On Saturday, Transcarpathian delegation cheered for the Ukrainian team at the Biathlon World Cup held in the Czech city of Nove Mesto on Moravian (Vysocina). Our delegation was invited to the championship by the Hetman of the province Jiri Byehounek.
Poor performance of Ukrainian men’s team was compensated with extremely successful performance of women. For the first time since 2002, Ukraine has the world champion in biathlon. It is Olena Pidhrushna. Another Ukrainian – Vita Semerenko – won the "bronze".
