Transcarpathians brought awards from the twentieth race on the highway “Sačurovská pätnástka” (PHOTOS)

The twentieth anniversary race on the highway "Sačurovská pätnástka" ended with the victory of Ukrainians. The competition was held in the Slovak village of Sačurov, near the town of Vranov nad Toplou.

Among 128 male runners, the famous marathon runner from Lviv Victor Starodubtsev, who at the competition in Slovakia represented the club JM Demolex of Bardyeyev, won in the 15-kilometer race with a score of 49 minutes and 46 seconds. Mukachevo orienteer Serhiy Raschupkin representing the sports club from the village of Banske won the second place with the time of 50.41, The third place went to Slovak Patrick Vysnyovsky of Strážske, who finished the distance in 51.30.

In the category of veterans under 45, first places on the podium were taken by Uzhgorod athletes Orest Babiak (51.58) and Anatoly Maly (52.52), Michal Ivancho from Banske showed the third result (53.32). It should be noted that this winter, in Italy, the Slovak for the second time became the world champion in skijoring – ski race on dog sledding. 

Of the 18 women, who were competing on this same distance, the fastest with the result of 58.03 was Oksana Uhrynchuk from Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhgorod athlete Natalia Mala won silver medal (1:00.50), Zuzana Stanovcakova from Vranov nad Toplou won bronze medal (1:02.14).
