Transcarpathians are urged to take part in the flashmob “Feed Birds in Winter”

The bird feeders were made by students of the Lyuta school together with foresters! Foresters make and hang bird feeders every winter. The children help them in this.
School forestry students are particularly active in this work. The "Feed Birds in Winter" campaigns have become traditional in Transcarpathia. Not only do these activities help the birds and the animals survive the cold winter, they also leave a pleasant memory and a sense of responsibility in the minds of children. Save the birds – save the forest! It is also planned to get local residents involved in the conservation of forests and bird populations. So we are announcing a flashmob "Feed Birds in Winter".
Increasing the number of insectivorous birds in the forests prevents mass reproduction of leaf-eating insects. The best way to control pests is biological.
As for the feed set, the birds love weed seeds, raw sunflower, pumpkin, watermelon and melon seeds. They can be stored for winter specifically to feed birds. Otherwise, sunflower seeds, fresh or boiled, but not salty bacon, small crumbs of wheat bread will do. Birds also enjoy eating millet, oats, wheat, oatmeal (raw!) and viburnum, rowan, black and red elderberries.
