August 20, members of the Writers’ Union of Transcarpathia together with the state enterprise "Uzhgorod forestry" will go into the forest for the implementation of the joint project "The first plein air of Transcarpathian writers."
The director of "Uzhgorod forestry" Ivan Kostiv collaborated with writers and during the plein air they will sign an agreement on the kind of cooperation.
More than a dozen members of the Writers’ Union will be able to see the forest, not as tourists but more as researchers. Also, they will learn the experts’ opinion on diseases of coniferous forests. They will also learn about other problems of the Carpathian forest from within.
This plan was intiated for professional growth and close, informal communication between the writers of the region. It is also a good outdoor recreation. "It may become the impetus to write something serious and not superficial about the nature of Transcarpathia", – the Head of the Transcarpathian Organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Vasyl Husti said.
