A quality higher education can achieved in Transcarpathia – convinced the head of Higher Education and Science office of Regional State Administration Education and Science Department, who together with a pro rector of the Transcarpathian Art Institute, a member of selection committee Maryna Kiiak and a pro rector on scientific work of Mukachevo State University Vasyl Kabatsii met with reporters today, June 14.
Vasyl Telep encourages local university entrants to choose for their future education the Transcarpathian higher educational establishments. In addition, he emphasizes: ‘It is worth thinking about the future specialty. If you live in the village and do not want to change the place of residence, you should choose a specialty which is requested on the labor market of the region. The main purpose of study is for earning money. If the work does not bring any cash flows, the question arises, what did you study for?’
There are four state higher education institutions and two private property of III-IV level of accreditation and 14 universities of I and II accreditation levels (colleges, vocational schools), which train junior specialists and bachelors, that operate currently in Transcarpathia. There are also 21 branches of higher educational establishments. According to Vasyl Telepa, the quality of education in the university braches often do not correspond the appropriate level of accreditation.
