Transcarpathian tourism experts advise the local government to re-invest the money from the tourist tax into tourism

Transcarpathia has received almost 1.5 million hryvnia from the tourist tax.

This was announced by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. In January-November 2015, local budgets of the region received UAH 1 million 449 thousand 600 of the tourist tax.

During 11 months of 2015, cities and districts of the region received almost 1.5 million hryvnia revenues from the tourist tax.

The Department of Tourism will recommend government agencies next year to invest the full amount of the tax back into tourism to improve infrastructure, increase the attractiveness of territories, etc..

Thus, according to the department, the industry will bring even more benefits to local budgets and communities in general.
