Transcarpathian theater will present a play to support the Ukrainian army

As the Honored Artist of Ukraine, the Acting Director of Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater Vasyl Shershun reported to Uzhgorod.in, Transcarpathian actors intend to support the Ukrainian troops.

The army, which is going through its most difficult times since the independence, needs financial support.  For example, as reported by witnesses, Transcarpathian border guards sent to the south of the country do not have the basic necessities, need spare parts for machinery etc. Therefore, the theater will present a charity performance, and all raised funds will be used for the needs of Ukrainian army.

March 20, the general meeting of the theater was held – Vasyl Shershun said. At this meeting, among other issues, it was decided to donate funds from the production of "Marriage" by Gogol, staged by Zhytomyr director Petro Avramenko, to Armed Forces. The staff unanimously agreed. The play will be presented symbolically on the International Day of Theatre, March 27.
