Transcarpathian smugglers parachuted boxes of cigarettes into Hungary (VIDEO)

This was reported by the Hungarian customs service

The procedure was as follows: a light aircraft or hang glider flew from Transcarpathia to Hungary and, without landing, parachuted cigarettes down, where they were picked up by accomplices.

Policemen were brought to the smugglers by sniffer dogs. Parachutes and a large batch of cigarettes were found.

According to Hungarian customs officers, 6 gang members were arrested. In their house near the border, the police found thermal imagers and night vision devices, as well as weapons and large sums of money.

It is estimated that the smugglers managed to smuggle from Transcarpathia to Hungary 26,000 boxes of cigarettes worth 50 million forints (5 million hryvnias).
