Transcarpathian rescuers received equipment from Swiss firefighters (PHOTOS)

On May 31, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region received charity aid from Swiss firefighters.

32 fire helmets, 81 fire suits, 4 lamps, a full set of hydraulic equipment, leggings, boots, and fire axes were handed by the head of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region Roman Hudak to the first state fire and rescue squad of Uzhgorod.

This charitable aid for Transcarpathian rescuers was kindly provided by voluntary fire teams of the cities of Bruges, Berne and their environs (Switzerland), that supported the initiative of a local firefighter Stefan Baumann and his wife Oleksandra to establish a cooperation with the Transcarpathian rescuers.
