Transcarpathian rescuers received assistance from Swiss colleagues

Transcarpathian rescuers constantly maintain business and friendly relations with firefighters around the world, including in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands and other countries.   In addition, foreign colleagues where possible provide humanitarian aid for Ukrainian rescuers. Recently, a delegation of Transcarpathian firefighters visited Switzerland.

Transcarpathians returned home with useful gifts from the Swiss colleagues. Members of the voluntary fire brigade of the city of Brugg donated special clothing for firefighters. In particular, Transcarpathian rescuers received more than 40 helmets, almost fifty belts and three dozen sets of boots, jackets and pants.

The clothing is addressed to the 1st State Fire and Rescue Squad. It will be distributed between Uzhgorod 14th and 15th State Fire and Rescue Units, the 16th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the village of Serednye and the Fire and Rescue Post of the village of Velyka Dobron. The head of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Roman Hudak, accepting the humanitarian aid, said that international cooperation is a priority in the development of operational and rescue service of Transcarpathia and the work in this area would continue.
