Transcarpathian rescuers have found a man and a woman, who got lost in the mountains

Yesterday, on February 26, at 20:50, the Rescue Service of Transcarpathia received a report that two tourists (a man and a woman) had gotten lost in the area of the Hoverla mountain in Rakhiv district.  Rescuers were informed about it by the police who had received a call from the tourists. Then, the rescuers called the lost tourists an found out their approximate location. They also said that a strong wind had blown their tent away and they had dug up a hole in the snow and were waiting for help.

Two groups were formed for search and rescue operations: one consisting of the rescuers of the mountain search and rescue unit of the city of Rakhiv, and the other one consisting of the rescuers of the mountain search and rescue unit of the village of Lazeshchyna. In total, 11 rescuers and two units of special equipment. 

At around 10:00, one of the search and rescue groups found the tourists. At present, the rescuers are providing first aid, since the tourists suffered hypothermia. After that, the rescuers will accompany the tourists to the nearest rescue house to give them hot tea and then take them to the nearest settlement.
