Transcarpathian rescuers advised how to safely hold the ceremony of baptism

On January 16, the rescuers of Irshava and Vynogradiv districts conducted outreach with residents on issues of safety during the celebration of Epiphany.  To prevent tragedies, the rescuers told residents about the measures to be followed while diving in the hole and distributed leaflets on those topics.
The rescuers advised citizens to swim only in specially equipped places, where rescuers and doctors are present.  To harden the body before Baptism, to choose a hole with a safe descent to water, never to use alcohol before bathing.  Never to dive into the water – walk into the hole slowly and carefully and avoid a large crowd of people in the hole.  In addition, they reminded citizens that before deciding to bathe in ice-cold water, you should always consult a doctor about your health.  And if a doctor finds contraindications, it is better to refrain from traditional baths, especially for people with pulmonary and cardiovascular diseases.
