On Tuesday, January 3, the Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Drama Theater will present a musical fairy-tale "Amazing Bird" based on the works by Ukrainian playwrights I. and Ya. Zlatopolsky. It is a good tradition in the theater to entertain kids on New Year and Christmas holidays with a new tale. Last year, it was E.T.Hoffmann’s "Mouse King or Nutcracker" staged by Oleksandr Sarkisyants. This year, they decided to show Ukrainian folk tales.
The artistic director of the theater, honored artist of Ukraine Vasyl Shershun prepared his own theatrical version and staged the performance, which involves almost the entire company. A merry tale based on folk motifs is rich in set design, music, jokes, funny characters and unexpected twists.
