On 16-17 of November, 2016, the Central tasting commission of the Corporation "Ukrvynprom", together with winemakers of Ukrainian enterprises and representatives of central executive bodies determined the best wines of Ukraine among 55 samples produced by Ukrainian and foreign enterprises. All wines were purchased in retail chains to taste the products that go directly to the consumer.
On December 13, the tasting results were announced! Among the wines made from the "Traminer" grapes, professionals gave the highest grades to dry white wine "Traminer" of the Chizay TM!
According to Volodymyr Kucherenko, the director general of the corporation "Ukrvynprom", nowadays, the state support in the field of viticulture and winemaking, unfortunately, is insignificant. It is planned to allocate UAH 5.5 billion from the budget for the support of the entire field of agriculture for the next year. It is unknown if the wine industry will receive any funding.
"During the meeting we realized that what is imported, popularized is not always of a good quality. We have to compete on equal terms. Our goal is to show Ukrainians that there are great wines, brandy, sparkling wines in Ukraine," – Volodymyr Kucherenko said.
