A 65-year-old resident of Mukachevo appealed to Mukachevo police. The applicant reported that a stranger had called on her mobile phone from a hidden number and introduced himself as the police major.
The man told the woman that her son had been detained by the police for committing a crime, and to save him from prison, she had to transfer the money amounting to 4,800 hryvnia to the specified amount…
The gullible woman did that at the nearest bank branch. When she returned, she found her son at home, who said that he had no problems with the police… The fraudster is now wanted by the police.
