Law enforcement officers are establishing the details of the accident, in which a resident of the village of Iza was injured. Criminal proceeding over this incident has been opened.
Yesterday, December 10, the police received a report from a paramedic. The medic reported on the hospitalization of a 26-year-old resident of the village of Iza with injuries characteristic of a road accident. The victim was taken the traumatological department of the local hospital.
The investigative team arrived at the scene. Its representatives found out that around 18:50, a driver of an unidentified car, moving from the village of Iza towards Horinchevo, near the turn to Markush street, had hit a pedestrian who was moving in the opposite direction.
The police initiated the plan "Interception" in the district, as a result of which the culprit was quickly found. The driver was identified. It was a 26-year-old resident of the village of Velyatino in Khust district. The driver of a car "Mersedes" lost control and hit a pedestrian, who had suddenly stepped out on the carriageway. The driver confessed. His car was taken to the impound lot of the Khust police department, and the police opened a criminal proceeding over the accident under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, violation of traffic rules that caused injuries to the victim.
