Transcarpathian police did not guarantee that they would not use force

Uzhgorod city council deputy Rostislav Bulanov managed to enter the regional police office. As you know, protesters are waiting at the door with important questions to the police.

As we have been reported, there was no meeting with Major General Vartsaba – he was not in the office. The questions were answered by one of his deputies.

First, they asked where Transcarpathian special forces were at the moment, and whether they planned to send troops to Kyiv – the official said that he was not authorized to answer this question.

Then they asked to guarantee that in Transcarpathia the police would not use weapons. The official said that they could not give such guarantees. Instead he guaranteed that they would "serve Transcarpathians."

They promised a detailed answer from Major General Vartsaba tomorrow.
