Transcarpathian police caught a teenager who was robbing stores

The police detained a 15-year-old resident of Svalyava, who had stolen 5,200 hryvnias from a cash register in a local store.

In a few days, the boy committed another theft from a men’s clothing store. Criminal proceedings over the thefts were opened

The owner of a store appealed to the Svalyava police station.

The woman reported that an unknown person had stolen from the cash register 5,200 UAH.

Having watched the footage from the surveillance cameras, the police identified the thief.

It was a minor local resident. The 15-year-old boy is being brought up in a dysfunctional family. The schoolboy had already been prosecuted for theft and robbery.

A few days later, this young man was spotted in another men’s clothing store. From there, the guy stole a salesperson’s cell phone. He sold the stolen gadget for pennies, and spent the money.

The investigator of the Svalyava Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the thefts under Part 2 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – Theft, committed repeatedly.

Pre-trial investigations are ongoing.
