Transcarpathian police brought two young runaways home

Two sisters, 10 and 15 years old, from the village of Luhy in Rakhiv district, ran away from home after a quarrel with their mother.

Police officers found the girls 40 kilometers from home – in the village of Dilove in the same district.

On November 30, a 57-year-old resident of the village of Luhy appealed to Rakhiv police.

The woman asked for help in finding her daughters. The police officers found out that the girls had repeatedly ran away home, the last time the reason for running away was a quarrel with their mother.

All officers of Rakhiv police were engaged in the search of the girls. Information was sent to all police stations of the region.

The young runaways were found in the village of Dilove in Rakhiv district, 40 kilometers from the girls’ home.

The sisters were there at their friends’ place.

Officers of the police juvenile section talked to the girls and persuaded them to return to the mother.

Currently, the girls are home with their family. However, the district police officer will be closely monitoring the situation in the family to prevent such incidents in the future.
