The police are looking for a young man who is suspected of killing a 53-year-old resident of Mukachevo. In the evening on May 6, in a former boiler room, the young man inflicted the other man multiple blows, after which the latter died at the scene because of his injuries. The investigation into the murder continues.
In the morning on May 7, Mukachevo police was reported that in the former boiler house on Sechenov street, the body of a man with signs of violent death had been found. Law enforcement officers, who arrived at the scene, quickly identified the deceased, it was a 53-year-old resident of Mukachevo.
A series of activities were performed to find out all the circumstances of the incident and to identify the person who had committed it. As a result of primary investigation and search activities, the suspect in the murder was identified. It is a 18-year-old resident of Mukachevo.
Currently, the suspect in the murder is in hiding, the police put him on the wanted list and are taking all measures to detain him. A criminal proceeding over this fact was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, i.e. murder. The sanction of this Article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 7 to 15 years.
The police ask anyone, who has any information that can help in finding the suspect, to notify the Mukachevo police, the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region or call "102".
