Transcarpathian players of the Karpatalja football team were disqualified – for life

The Disciplinary Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine has forbidden 14 citizens of Ukraine, who are players of the Hungarian football team Karpatalja, to engage in any football-related activities (including administrative and sports ones), the Ukrinform reported. 

This is stated in the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the FFU, the text of which is available to Ukrinform.

"The participation of this team in the so-called Championship of Unrecognized States – the ConIFA World Football Cup – negatively affected the authority and image of the Football Federation of Ukraine. Therefore, the disciplinary committee made a decision on lifelong disqualification of the Ukrainian players of the football team Karpatalja for the conduct that is detrimental to the reputation of football and FFU," – the first vice-president of the FFU Vadim Kostyuchenko explained.  

Also time, the organizers and members of the Karpatalja team, who are citizens of Hungary, are forbidden to enter the territory of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine announced official warnings to two Ukrainian players of the team and requested their respective sports licenses to be revoked by the Football Federation of Ukraine.
