Transcarpathians successfully performed at the Open Orienteering Cup of Lviv region. Most of the young members of Mukachevo club "Tovarysh" came home with awards.
The program of the events included middle distance race, held in the Sykhiv forest and sprint races on tracks in the Stryi park. Among the youngest athletes (under 12 years), Vladislav Tsepurdey, Mykhailo Hodovych and Yevhen Horonzhuk from Mukachevo showed the best results among the boys at the middle distance. The next day, Yevhen won silver medal in the sprint, and his comrades Artem Pauk and Mykhailo Hodovych finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Among girls of this age, both days the top three remained the same: the winner was Yulia Martyniv from Lviv, silver and bronze medalists were sisters Nina and Kateryna Tsepurdey from Mukachevo.
In the juniors competition, Natalia Shozda from Mukachevo became the champion in both types of program, and Nina Raschupkina – the coach of the club "Tovarysh" – won in the "masters" category at the middle distance and finished second in the sprint.
Among men – master of sports, Yaroslav Pazhukh from Lviv became the champion at both distances, the graduate of "Tovarysh" Serhiy Babich at both distances finished second, and his former teammates Oleksandr Kasyanov and Serhiy Raschupkin in sprint showed 5th and 6th results respectively.
