Transcarpathian officials stick to the tradition – they live off their wives

Mizhhirya District Council Chairman Ivan Yarema disclosed a declaration of income and expenses for the past year. Like the vast majority of his colleagues – Trasncarpathian officials – he has neither car, nor house – everything is owned by his wife. 

Last year the chairman earned almost 78,000 UAH, while his wife – almost 180,000 UAH. Ivan Yarema owns only 5 hectares of land.  The house of 208 square meters in area and the 2 hectares plot is registered for his wife. 

The Chairman of Mizhhirya District Council stated in the declaration that he had paid 5,000 UAH credit.
