On 12 – 17 of October, there will be the "Transcarpathian Nature Protection Week", organized by the Intercommission association of the Public Council at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration "Green Carpathians Strategy", "Transcarpathian Environmental Rescue Forum", "Reforms for a decent life" together with UzhNU and the educational magazine " Carpathia." The official opening of the event will take place on October 12 at 14.00 in the lobby of the RSA.
The program of the Week includes thematic environmental days with workshops, lectures, seminars, presentations and consulting at schools and universities of Transcarpathia Regional Library, an exhibition of photographs, children’s drawings, demonstrations of environmental videos; awarding and honoring of the winners of various competitions on environmental topics and the best of community activists and non-governmental, academic and civic organizations.
The organizers pursue a certain goal – to consolidate all social forces to solve the problems of Transcarpathian nature protection. So, they ask to get involved. You can make a stand of your own organization (base is provided by the organizing committee), bring photos, drawings. Ideas and suggestions are welcomed, as well as documents or facts and evidence of environmental offenses.
